Gunning the River

virusarisen:

You look at the shooty thingy. A turret? You’re not sure. You were never very good with guns.

“I’m okay with that. Aradia Megido, professional watchtroll. Yup.”

You then gaze out at the sea, reverting to your natural bored expression.

”I’m glad your here at least. I was getting a little stir crazy because there was no one around to talk to.”

She replied, going back to sailing her boat. It picked up quickly and they were soon going at a nice pace.

virusarisen:

“Ok. Keep your head low. Got it.”

You follow Jade back up to the deck, crouching like a frog in order to keep as low as possible. You look a bit silly.

You spot something on the shore. And it’s coming closer, and it looks infected. Which isn’t good. Not good at all.

“Jade…I think I see something…you should take a look…”

Jade looked towards shore, making an annoyed face. “It shouldn’t be able to swim but I can get it from here.”

She made sure everything was ready to go and hopped behind the turret set up on deck, aiming towards shore. She peered into the viewfinder, then let off two straight shots, bursting it’s skull like a melon. “Warn me if you see anymore? Or just use this yourself if you know how. Just don’t shoot me or the sails. I can’t fix them without a lot of work.”

virusarisen:

Aradia nodded. “Fair enough.” She followed Jade into what was presumably her sleeping/living/scheming space. Aradia found the boat to be quite nice, if not a little quiet. But that was probably so Jade wouldn’t attract too much attention. “Is it 0k if I place my things here?”

”That’s fine. Just make yourself comfortable while I get us going!” She replied, leaving her below and she went back on deck and began to lift anchor, making sure the raft was strapped down and opening the sail to get turned around and traveling down south again.

“Watch your head! A lot of rookies on boats make mistakes and end up getting whacked in the face. Just stay kind of low when passing under or through things, and if I say duck… well… duck fast.” Jade called down to warn her as she got going.

>Jade! This is no time to be joking! Get SERIOUS!

What seems to be the matter?

-You stare at the radio in bewilderment.-

“Goodness— ah, well, It seems that I sprouted an, a, tail.”

Well that does seem like a …..

WHALE….

of a dilemma, now doesn’t it?

>Stop laughing at your terrible jokes and sympathize.

But really, I’m sorry to hear that. I wish I could help.

gorestainedsatin:

-You flounder round the living area of your house, that new fishy tail that replaced your legs knocking countless objects to the hard floor below. You’re remaining two limbs tangled in your long locks. Fumbling to the ground below, a mess to say the least, you growl inwardly. Fucking. Anons.-

-Your hues roll upward to the near-by table; to your radio. Groping at the furniture’s leg, you yank hard, the device tumbling to the floor. Snatching the microphone from the ground you snarl into it.-

“Oh I do hope you all are having a better time than I!”

Gunning the River: Aradia: Wait

virusarisen:

You have set up camp on the banks of the Mississippi. And by camp, you suppose you mean a rather unsafe blanket surrounded by mining gear and frogs. Lots of frogs. They are your best friends.

Waiting hasn’t been kind to you. Many a Zombie has tried to make you into a meal. You…

You pull your shirt collar over your neck, hoping to hide your wounds, and don your gas mask. If you’re going to anyplace unfamiliar, you’re going to need it. No use taking stupid risks.

“Hello, Jade. I am Aradia.”

A frog hops onto your shoulder as you grab your pack and climb aboard. You survey the ship, impressed.

“How did you come across her?”

“She’s always been mine. I’ve lived on her since I was pretty much born.” Jade replied, slipping up behind her.

“I’ll get you settled and tell you everything once we start moving again. I hate being in one spot so long.” The woman strapped the raft to the back of the boat, taking off her shoes and tucking them by the wheel before bringing Aradia inside.

And so, you wait.

Two weeks on the dot, and she was anchored offshore from who she had seen. She rafted over after making sure everything was secure, pulling her self up onto the edge and walking over. “Hi! I’m Jade. I suppose I’m taking you with me, yes?”
